Jet2 Virtual.com first came to life in and about the year 2007. The VA ran for approximately 10 years but due to inactivity placed the chocks under the wheels for the final time in 2019.
At the height of its operations it had over 1000 virtual pilots who massed hundreds of hours in the virtual skies copying their beloved Jet2 real life airline.
Fast forward to 2025 and jet2virtual.com has been brought back to life using the latest PHPVMS virtual airline software and the vmsacars flight tracking software.
The current owner was a staff member in the previous version of the airline and is really looking forward to rebuilding this once popular and very active VA. Jet2virtual.com reopened its doors to members on the 1st May 2025 and hopefully will still be flying high in the years to come.
The VA would welcome back any previous virtual pilots so if you were a former member or a new member press the register button and lets return this wonderful VA back to its former glory.

A virtual airline is a simulated version of a real-world airline that operates within the realm of flight simulation. It allows aviation enthusiasts to experience airline management and operations in a virtual environment. Members of a virtual airline typically take on roles such as pilots, dispatchers, or management staff, and they simulate flights using flight simulator software like Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, or Prepar3D.

Virtual airlines often have schedules, fleets, and routes that mirror real-world airlines, while others may create entirely fictional operations. These organizations provide a community for flight simulation enthusiasts to enhance their skills, participate in realistic operations, and share their passion for aviation.

We offer our pilots Checklists, Pilot Reference Guides, Standard Operating Procedures and much more flight essential stuff you need to get airborn. A good pilot is always learning, we have the needed documents for you available.

Our History

The history of Jet2Virtual goes back to 2007 when the airline was founded. We believe keeping an history page shows how much the airline has developed over the years and also shows that we are a strong virtual airline for the continuation of operations for such a time.

In 2007 Jet2Virtual was founded and the airline started operations with a 'phpvms' website when this took the public for surprise as it looked very professional and it was the first Jet2 Virtual around! Members joined the airline and was active enjoying using the channex callsign on the VATSIM network. The website was a templated version with a flight tracking system from phpvms. We had around 50 active flying members at this time. Unfortuanately the website was not giving the airline its full potential so we decided to build a new custom made website with the prediction of more enthusiasts applying.

During these years the custom built website was released and we had the full Jet2 fleet downloadable for free. The website was using XACARS tracking system and we hit 100 active flying members. Many hours went into the website with people compiling route lists and researching information about real world Jet2 operations. All of this was put into the website to keep the content up to date for the members.

In 2011 we saw a decrease in activity on the website and many errors continued to disable areas of the website and we slowly lost members. It then came to the conclusion of the management team to close down Jet2Virtual. The website stayed open without no input been placed into it and come Summer 2012 then website went down. We decided that Jet2Virtual had a great deal of hidden potential and we started again and scrapped the old website to create a new one to be released in 2013.
