Announcements / Re: So, what's happening?
« on: October 03, 2017, 08:43:34 PM »
Evening everyone. Some important news! We now have a new website, kindly made by our Webmaster Alan. He has done an excellent job and I'd like to thank him, I'm sure you all would too. - Everyone's log in is still the same, and the website URL hasn't changed either.

I have also created All Staff their own emails, where they can be contacted on. I have sent each individual their passwords and a link. I will list them below for everyones benefit:

Ellis: CEO@jet2virtual.com
Freddie: COO@jet2virtual.com
Alan: webmaster@jet2virtual.com
Harry: fleet@jet2virtual.com
Richie: media.events@jet2virtual.com
Matthew B: flyingclub@jet2virtual.com
Tony: routes@jet2virtual.com

The link to login to these it webmail.jet2virtual.com

If it asks about a security certificate, don't worry. Just press continue.

These are for VA use only :)

A few updates for the future:
1) We hope to add a donate button; all money goes back into the VA & nothing get spent on ourselves. Spare money stays in the account. I am quite happy to do a statement of any donations and where they go each month.

2) I am currently thinking about allowing Pilots to create their own charter flight directly from smartcars, allowing you to fly where you want, in what you want, whenever you want.

3) In addition to smartcars, we are beggining to think about adding a dispatch & tracking system called TOPCAT.
which will run alongside smartcars. (SEE NEXT POST)

4) We are still offering 20% off of MANY Aerosoft Products, and 20% off of ALL UK2000 Products. Drop me an email (CEO@jet2virtual.com) and I will get this done for you.
That's it for now... if you need anything, or want anything please comment on this post and a member of the Executive Team (Ellis, Freddie and Alan) will get back to you.

Thankyou,
Ellis
Owner/CEO

Pilots,

Thankyou for your patience in regards to smartcars.... I have managed to get us a brand new lifetime license which is now up and running. As it is a new licence you will need to re install smartcars. Your logon details will be the same as before, and service will resume as previously. Thanks

« on: August 31, 2017, 08:35:22 PM »
Hi Everyone! I hope you're all doing well.
I am now starting the process fo buying the Virtual Airline from it's founder Joseph. There shouldn't be any issues with the VA during this process. I am also in the process of getting SMARTCARS sorted, so everything will go back to normal... finally! I hope to be seeing you all in the virtual skies very soon. In the meantime, and not for long, manual PIREPS it is.
Thankyou all for your patience and feedback, I really appreciate it.

Announcements / Creating, and Using a Simbrief Flightplan... Guide
« on: July 30, 2017, 10:31:53 PM »
Hi All,

Just in case you don't know how to plan a flight I have made a guide which will take you through the process step by step. There is lots of detail to help you understand... but it's easy to follow so don't worry.

It ranges from Creating the OFP, to Viewing & Downloading it; to Prefiling on VATSIM or PilotEdge; downloading an FMS File as well as a quick guide on reading the Flightplan and it's most important information.

There is also some explanations of other things for you to have a read through!

To view it you can find it in the downloads section of the website, or follow this Google Drive Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6dpMYWgZvyMbjlYNjR5RVlZWlE/view

Any costructive feedback leave a reply!.. It's always appreciated

Thanks,
Ellis

General Discussion / Re: soundpack problem
« on: February 17, 2017, 12:44:27 AM »
Hi Dean,

If you have installed the Female Voice Pack then follow the  SmartCars guide I created; which is also on the Downloads Page.

If you have installed the male pack do the following:

1) For the male voice, you have to replace all of the sounds in the FA folder (in the default smartcars sound pack) with the new ones from the zip file.

1b) You then replace the config file with the new one that also comes in the zip. (note that the config file goes in the default soundpack main folder, not in any subfolders such as FA, or Co-pilot etc)

2) You are to then make a new folder in the smartcars soundpack directory called 'Jet2' and put all of the extracted zip files into that also.

You then launch smartcars and you're good to go.

Any issues let me know and I will make a short guide for you.

Ellis

Flight Reporting / smartCARS issues & a temporary fix
« on: February 10, 2017, 01:15:14 PM »
Afternoon all,

I have had issues reported to me about smartCARS not allowing you to see bidded flights; or fly those flights.

To fix this there is two options:
1) Bid the flight via the website, then track it using smartcars.

2) If you bid the flight, and still doesn't allow you to view the bid in smartcars/fly the flight you are to continue with the flight. You are then to go to 'Resources' --> 'Pilot Centre' --> 'My flight bids' --> 'File PIREP' and input the data manually; a member of staff will accept the PIREP.

The following should be included in the manual PIREP:
1.) Route Flown- Full route please including any SID/STAR used
2.) Fuel Burn (enter in PIREP field)
3.) Time in the air
4.) Aircraft registration
5.) Reason for using the manual PIRPEP system
* If any details such as VATSIM tracking can be proven please also add if applicable
** If you have a recorded landing rate please add as well

I have allowed this on a temporary basis and this should not be abused.

Any issues please reply to this post.
