Good Day All,
Following recent changes it is now possible to fly any aircraft with Jet2Virtual on our flights! Simply select the aircraft 'uni-charter' in the smart-cars drop down menu and have a good flight! We'd love to know what you flew in the comments of the PIREP, but this isn't required for the PIREP to be accepted!

Flight Reporting / Manual PIREP Guidelines

FAO All,
Today we have introduced a few guidelines we ask you to follow when filing a Manual PIREP

If you want to fly offline or experience a pesky simulator crash when taking to gate we allow pilots to file a report to still claim deserved hours on there flights.

To file a manual PIREP you must enter the pilot centre on the site and 'File a Flight Report'.  There is basic information such as flight time and fuel you will need to put in but we ask you add some more information to the comments to prove this flight has been done.
1.) Route Flown- Full route please including any SID/STAR used
2.) Fuel Burn (enter in PIREP field)
3.) Time off stand, Time of Takeoff, Time of landing and Time on blocks
4.) Aircraft registration
5.) Reason for using the manual PIRPEP system
* If any details such as VATSIM tracking can be proven please also add if applicable
** If you have a recorded landing rate please add as well

We ask you only submit flights you have truthfully done. If a flight does not include authentic information it will be denied and repeated occurrences of this may result in warning and a ban! Please respect the system we use at the VA.

Announcements / Introduction of Unique Chartered Aircraft

Attention all,
The ability to fly aircraft that aren't owned nor long-term leased is now available. Occasionally, due to technical or commercial issues airlines have the need to call in an 'emergency' charter to fill in an aircraft, an example of this could be a technical issue grounding an aircraft and no other alternate fleet options available to cover the operation and the need for a non company aircraft to fill.  This method of chartering is not scheduled and is done by necessity of having an aircraft to fly. Although extremely rare, the ability to do this has now been added, but there are rules in place that need to be followed:
1.) You must be Senior First ranking or above, the aircraft option available to be selected in SMARTcars is limited to SFO's above
2.) The aircraft must be 767 size at a maximum, Jet2 probably would not require an aircraft larger than this in the unlikely event of a unique charter needing to take occurance
3.) The aircraft type and registration is commented in 'PIREP comment'. The aircraft a pilot chooses to use in a unique charter must be an active aircraft that operates for a EUROPEAN airline. These charter scenarios are short notice and time to ferry an aircraft from further afield may not be available.
Advice for choosing an aircraft:
1.) Route popularity- more popular, larger aircraft
2.) Preferably choose a charter airline such as a member of Titan airways fleet
3.) What is been covered for? - Technical,Commercial issue?
4.) Flight demand/duration - Choose an aircraft that meets the demand for both

SFO'S + should use this feature sparingly and preferably maintain to still operate Jet2 registered aircraft for most flying. If you want to put in a long term charter you may use under the registration of a unique charter you must airmail myself with a reasoning for using the aircraft, it will be accepted or denied after consideration by myself and other staff if necessary.
